Author's Notes
Cori's fur and hair are not naturally these colors; as is common in some upper-class circles in Mothorial, she enjoys dyeing them from time to time to reflect moods, seasons, and current fashion. She picked up this practice from her mother, who brought it from her own background. They're the only two hewani in Mosswood who indulge in the practice. Ava tried it once and dyed her own hair green, much to Ackerley's horror.

AVA: I was scared! I had no idea-
VEX: And now you're carrying that dumb wand everywhere 'cause you feel bad, right?
AVA: that's not fair.
VEX: Fair?
VEX: We're not kits anymore!
VEX: Life isn't fair! You screwed everything up!
AVA: It's not my fault your mom freaked out, Vex!
CORI: You're gonna bring their mom into this?
CORI: Like you'd know-
VEX: Whatever.
VEX: Come on, Ava. Admit all of this was your fault.
VEX: Just take responsiblity for once.
AVA: ...I don't know what you want me to say.
VEX: ...
VEX: You haven't changed at all.
VEX: Come on. Let's go, girls.
AVA: Why did you even talk to me?
VEX: I thought maybe you'd grown up.
VEX: Guess that's too much to ask.
CORI: See you 'round...
